Please do not feel obligated to complete work this week. I had planned to roll out the tasks below next week, but I wanted to make it available now in case some of you would like to get a head start on it.
If you are looking for something productive to do this week, I would strongly recommend the AP online lessons described below (task #1). This week's lessons in particular will be most relevant to the upcoming exam. Only start task #2 if you are in need of something to work on or you want to take something off your plate for next week.
PREPARING FOR THE EXAM:
Click here for an overview of what we know about the AP exam at this point. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
The College Board will release more information about the exam and its format later this week. At that point, I'm hoping the simulations they are promising will be available to students so that you can practice accessing the exam and uploading your work. Until then, the tasks below should prove helpful in preparing you for this exam.

- View the AP English Literature lessons released by the College Board. These are roughly 45 minutes each, and they cover a variety of topics. They will continue to release a lesson each weekday at 12:00 if you'd like to tune in live. Otherwise you can always go back to this playlist to view previous lessons. Recommended lessons to date: Character Complexity, Writing a Thesis, Speaker or Narrator Perspective, and Developing Commentary. All this week the lessons will review topics relevant to the prose fiction essay (Q2). This will be incredibly helpful for the exam! Click here to access the YouTube playlist.
- Complete the tasks outline in this Google Doc. (This is going to be next week's task, but you may start this week if you'd like to get a head start.) This document walks you through the steps we used in class to tackle a Q2 essay. Specifically it uses the prompt and passage from the 2019 exam, and it includes sample student essays for you to evaluate. This is a good way to remember how we attack these essays and to see some solid examples of how other students organized their work.
